About

I recall that I was enchanted by children's books from a very young age. I was mesmerized by the stories and pictures evoking a world of magic and mystery beyond the ordinary.  I also found that I loved drawing and painting, as well as crafting small objects.

This early passion led me to pursue an undergraduate degree in Ceramic Art and Visual Research in Brighton, UK, while I then went on to obtain a Master of Arts degree in Ceramics in Cardiff, UK.  During my studies, I explored the idea of objects holding visual narratives and how they can 'tell' their own stories.

In the last couple of years I have been also focusing on illustration alongside my ceramics artwork. I have found that this art form allows me to reconnect to an earlier sense of magic and wonder that I once felt as a child.

As an artist, I am often inspired by nature, and all the various and remarkable lifeforms and creatures that dwell in this world. Over the years, I find myself learning the value of simply becoming quiet and 'listening' to their tales.
